🫀008: To new places

Published about 2 years ago • 1 min read

Hello you!

Since my last email, we've moved from one side of the island all the way to the other. We're very near the beach now, just a 10-minute walk away. So I'm very thankful.

I'm not a sand-in-my-toes kind of person. In fact, I don't enjoy the feeling of sand in between my toes. For me, being near the beach is more about the sunrises and the sunsets.

Actually, scratch that.

It's all about the sunrises and the sunsets.

During one of my morning runs

I absolutely love the movement of the sun. There's something otherworldly about it signifying the passing of days and time.

Maybe it has something to do with my love for astronomy as well. I mean.. the sun is a star, right?

Anyway, this week I came across a very interesting article.

It's short and really fun to read.

And if you're someone who enjoys taking short afternoon walks, you might wanna give it a read.

I hope this short email finds you well. With the borders between Singapore and Malaysia opening up, I might be able to go home for a short trip after all, before starting my new job as a cardiac technologist.

Either way, I'm excited for all things to come.

Are you looking forward to anything new in your life?

Sending love,
Mich

To be absolutely frank with you, after a month of patient-facing work, it feels like I don't know what to write about anymore. I miss writing. I miss the buttery smooth feeling of typing on this keyboard. I miss sitting in silence and crafting pretty words Mind you, I'm loving my job at the hospital, minus a couple of oddities. But there's just always something happening, all the time. It's go time from my morning bus ride all the way till work ends. So yes, I do miss the quietness of sitting...

Hello you, happy Saturday! I hope your week went by productively and you're gearing up to a well-deserved weekend. So I did a thing. A few things, actually. ONE. Remember I mentioned a project about dealing with pesky student loans last week? Yeah, I created this post on my personal website. For accountability and also for tracking purposes. In it, I've also documented some money rules I created for myself to follow in 2022. All that to say.. feel free to call me out if you see me breaking...

Recently I've been binging a podcast called "I Have ADHD Podcast", for reasons I'll touch on in Whimsical Wednesdays this week. It's run by Kristen Carder, certified life coach and ADHD advocate. The episode I'm referring to specifically is one where she discusses about prioritising and making decisions as adults with ADHD. There was a line in it which really struck me. I can't exactly remember the entire quote, but it went something like this: "If you're allowing external circumstances to...
